Miami will not face a November freeze in South Bend. The updated forecast for Saturday's game at Notre Dame calls for an ordinary fall night, with temperatures near 40 degrees at kickoff that slide into the upper 30s by the final whistle, according to SB Nation's One Foot Down. That takes away one of the usual worries about a warm-weather team playing up north this late in the year.

The daytime forecast is just as easy. One Foot Down expects a high of about 51 under partly sunny skies after a warmer-than-usual week, with a chance of a stray shower during tailgating before the clouds clear and the evening turns dry. The site figures a 41-degree night will bother the kickers more than anyone else on the field, which matters in a game expected to be decided by about a touchdown.

The forecast goes with an updated line. In a separate One Foot Down report, FanDuel Sportsbook had Notre Dame favored by 7.5 points with a total of 57.5. The outlet said the number moved after injury news was confirmed this week. ESPN's College GameDay will be on campus, and because the Irish already have a loss, the game could work like a playoff elimination game for them.

What it means for Saturday

Miami arrives 8-0 and ranked No. 1, having scored 381 points this season, an average of 47.6 per game. The early schedule was lopsided: in the first five games the Hurricanes allowed 9.8 points per game, including a 41-13 win at Clemson. The last three were tighter. Miami beat Florida State 43-35, handled Pittsburgh 52-23 and then got past North Carolina 38-35 in Chapel Hill, giving up 31 points per game over that stretch. One Foot Down noted that the officiating drew attention after both close wins. It also wrote that this is Miami's biggest regular-season game since the Hurricanes opened 2025 against the same opponent.

Notre Dame sits No. 11 in the playoff picture. The game kicks off Saturday night on NBC.

On this site's board, which covers 12 venues, Notre Dame is favored at -270 on Novig, which works out to about a 73 percent chance of winning. The best moneyline on the Irish anywhere is -265 at Polymarket, so the venues are close at the top. Miami is +264 on Novig. Sportsbook hold on the moneyline ranges from 3.5 to 5.9 percent.

The spread mostly matches FanDuel's number. Novig has Notre Dame -7.5 at +111 and Miami +7.5 at -115. The best Miami price anywhere is the same 7.5 points at -110 at theScore Bet. Pinnacle has moved half a point lower, posting Notre Dame -7 at -116.

The total is where the board has moved most. Novig lists 55.5, with the over at +102 and the under at -106, and theScore Bet is down to 54.5. Both sit two to three points below the 57.5 One Foot Down reported from FanDuel. With dry conditions forecast, that drop appears to reflect the matchup and the late-week news rather than any weather concern. That leaves an offense putting up nearly 48 points a game against a home team in a game it can hardly afford to lose.
